Less than a month to Chinese Lunar New Year⁉️
Have you have an idea how to decorate your lovely home❓
Perhaps this year, your little ones can help in assisting you in some simple decorations! At the same time, working on the fine and gross motor skills development of your child. YAY‼️
Today we are introducing a Chinese New Year Craft using fingerpainting technique.
Fingerpainting is an excellent feeling (kinaesthetic) experience and is fantastic for the development of all the big and small muscles in young child’s fingers, arms, shoulders, neck and back. It is wonderful for the development of colour recognition, experimenting with colours and colour mixing and is terrific for developing creativity skills and simple cause and effect thinking skills.
Standing upright at a large surface such as a window or mirror is another excellent way to finger paint. Think of all those gross and fine motor muscles your little one is developing as he works his creative magic in this position. Simply wash down the window with a hose afterwards. Obviously exercise extreme caution when your child is using any glass or mirrored surface.
It will definitely be a fun and enriching activity to do at home with your little ones! :)
We understand you may not know where to start off with, we have uploaded our copy for sharing purposes! All you have to do is to click on the link, and print it out on a hard paper!
Have fun & hope to bring more CNY crafts in upcoming posts!
